So the first stores of pottery, souvenirs, etc... are assailed by such requests. Being the inhabitants of merchants origin, they invented the famous “Moda Positano” improvising successful tailors, chopping scarves, linen or cotton towels, and sometimes ruining ankles bridal troops, transforming hand-embroidered fine sheets and old bingo table doilies or crochet, in elegant evening dresses. Many small shops like mushrooms were born, and in one of these, Giacomo Cinque poured out and expressed all the love for embroidery and art, still making extravagant and sometimes unrepeatable garments offering Positanese culture and spirit all over the world.
